Nels and Bo Thilda came to Galesburg, Illinois in August of 1866, directly from Sweden. They joined the emmanuel Methodist Church and became one of its oldest members. BoTilda taught Sunday School and was very interested in the Bible. His daughter, Hannah Everett, had lived at the old homestead for six years giving care to him and to her mother until their deaths. Since he moved to Galesburg, his home had always been at 979 North Kellogg
