    Mrs. Nellie Barnes Funeral Arranged - Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:30 p.m. at Mount Hope Federated Church for Mrs. Nellie Rose Barnes, 72, mother of Clarence R. Barnes, 834 Volutsia.

    The Rev. Harold Mallett of Hutchinson will officiate.

    Mrs. Barnes died Wednesday morning at the home of a daughter, Mrs. W. E. Knechtel, Hutchinson, following a cerebral hemorrhage Sunday. She had made her home with Mrs. Knechtel since the death of her husband, Elza D. Barnes, in 1947.

    Mr. and Mrs. Barnes resided in the Mt. Hope community until the time of his death.

    Mrs. Barnes was a member of the Patterson, Kan. Baptist Church. She was born April 26, 1883.

    In addition to the son in Wichita and Mrs. Knechtel, surviving are two other daughters, Mrs. Ethel Carter, Washington, D. C., and Mrs. Nellie Stecher, Hutchinson; two sisters, Mrs. Opal Phillips and Mrs. Alice Jones, both of Mount Hope; two brothers, Clarence Greenfield, 436 Riverview, and T. E. Greenfield, Denver, Colo.; six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

    Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Wulf Mortuary of Mount Hope is in charge.
