5 Feb 1732/3: Inventory of Estate of Nathaneel Whtiney Late of Weston Dece'd by John Warrin, Daniel Carter, John Walker: personal: £122-18-4; real: £300. 2 Mar 1732/3: "I appoint Sarah Whitney of Weston Widow admin'x on the Estate of Nath'l Whtitney late of s'd Town Husbandman Dece'd ... s'd admin'x having given Bond before viz. on Jan. 26 1732/3". 25 Mar 1733/4: Accounting of "Sarah Whitney & William Whitney administ'x on the Estate of Nath'l Whitney late of Weston". Subsequent accounting approved 2 Dec 1734 includes payment to William Whitney "for his expense in attending at Court in a Suit at Law with Mercy Whitney & other Trouble". 13 Jan 1734/5: Two thirds of real estate settled on "William Whitney of Weston in s'd County Husbandman, son of William Whitney Dece'd & Grandson of Nathaniel Whitney Sen'r late of said town Dece'd Intestate", he paying to "his uncle[s] & aunts (Children of the s'd Intestate)", namely Nathaniel Whitney, Samuel Whitney, Sarah Chadwick, Hannah Billing & Mercy Greaves and to the Heirs of William Whitney Dece'd.
