    NATHANIEL L. THURSTON

Nathaniel L. Thurston, a resident of this city for over forty years, died last Saturday at his home, 247 Hampshire street. He had for the past ten years been employed as a driver for Hamilton & Lemay, but gave up his work last August. A shock of paralysis caused his death.

Mr. Thurston was 70 years old and was born in Lebanon, Maine, the son of Richard W. and Mary Ricker Thurston. He came to this city in 1870, settling in East Cambridge. Some years ago he moved to his home on Hampshire street. In 1870 he married Miss Catherine F. Briggs, of Boston. There are no living children. Mrs. Thurston died last January. Three sisters survive the deceased, Mrs. Louis Hanson, of South Berwick, Maine, Mrs. H. L. Gowen, of Lynn, and Mrs. Edward Gerry, of Sanford, Maine.

The funeral was held Monday morning at 10 o'clock from 247 Hampshire street. Rev. Donald Gerrish, of Lynn, officiated. Interment was at Swanpoint cemetery, Providence.
