11 May 1791: "That Nath'll Reed late of Littleton in said County and late Soldier in the Contenental Army died & left Some Wages due to him while in the Army, but left neither father or mother, brother or sister to enquire after the same, and was indebted to me a Sum as great or perhaps [unreadable word] more than the wages due to him will amount to - therefore as principal creditor of the deceased pray your honor to grant me a letter of administration on the deceased's Estate; & as in duty bound shall every pray.
