He lived circa 1670 at what is known as the West Parish in the immediate vicinity of Walker's Creek and Little river, mainly engaged in farming, were Thomas Bray, James Davis, Jacob Davis, Richard Dike, Sylvester Eveleth, Richard Goodwin, Nathaniel Hadlock, William Haskell, father and son, Joseph Haskell, Thomas Kent, Thomas Lufkin, Nathaniel Millett, Thomas Penny and Henry Walker.30 He became a widower upon the death of Ann 9 Mar 1718. From Jeff Martin: Nathaniel lived on the west side of the Annisquam River where the family had received grants of land before finally settling at Kettle Cove where in 1700 he and his son held land on the provision that it was not to be alienated from the family as long as any of them survived..
Millett Island is on the map of Gloucester in the book of the History of Gloucester by Babson. This Island is in the Annisquam River. There is also a ledge of rocks off Pigeon Cove, Cape Ann which is called Millett Ledge.
The Millett genealogy says Nathaniel was the first Millet to change the name from one "t". Nathaniel received grants of land on the westerly side of Annisquam River and probably had his residence there. He finally settled at Kettle Cove, where in 1700, he and his sons had lands granted them "that were not to be alienated from the family so long as any of them survived." His 3 sons, Thomas, Andrew and Nathaniel, all settled near their father at Kettle Cove. Millet Island is on the map of Gloucester by Boston. A ledge of Rock at Pigeon Cove - Cape Ann is called "Millett Ledge." It is seldom above the water at low tides. Rev. T. Smith of Falmouth ME says in his Journal that Millett and one Ingersol were drowned at Precampscot by the damming of the ice, raising a head of water in the night while they were asleep. References
