Deacon Nathaniel Jewett (Francis, Ezekiel, Maximilian, Edward), was born in Bradford, Mass., Nov. 20; bapt. Dec 3, 1710. He married there, Dec- 25, 1734, Susannah Gooden, of Bradford. He settled in Bradford and later bought a large tract of land in Hollis, New Hampshire, and moved to that place. This homestead was later owned for many years by the Farley family, and is now [1908] known as the "Ranch." Nathaniel Jewett served in the Revolution. He was on the Lexington alarm list; served in Capt. Emerson's Co., in the expedition to Ticonderoga in 1776; also served in Capt. Gross's Co. He was deacon of the Hollis Church, and died in Hollis Oct. 5, 1791. His wife died there May 25, 1790, aged 82 years.
