"13. Nathaniel3 Howe (Isaac,2 Edward1), was probably born in Lynn as early as 1650; the name of his wife is not definitely known, but she is supposed to have been a sister of John Bowers, who was a resident of Greenwich at that time. Prior to the time that he came to Greenwich he had probably lived in New Haven, Mr. Frank Farnsworth Starr of Middletown. Ct., in a letter written 9 Dec. 1907, says 'The town records of Greenwich, Ct., show that a Nathaniel Howe was a resident of that town in 1686.' The records of the Fairfield probate district, which at that date included the town of Greenwich, show that he died 29 June 1692, and that an inventory of his estate was taken on the 25th of the next month. His children were probably born in New Haven; we have the names of only two, but there were probably others."
