Simple funeral service Over body of aged educator.
The funeral of Nathaniel Leech Hooper beloved and esteemed aged educator and lecturer of this City who died at his Home 56 Chestnut St last saturday was held yesterday morning in Trinity Church. The service comprised regular ritual of episcopal Church for burial of dead and was conducted by Rev F. B. Allen, Rev K. Uben Kidner and Rev Edward born Carnap. On lid of coffin there rested a Large Wreath of easter lilies another of deep purple asters and ferns and a third Wreath of Lavender coloured and White asters and ferns in addition to which there were some Beautiful White roses. There also were Flowers roses predominating placed about Chancel. After quartet of singers had chanted psalm beginning with passage a lord is my Refuge a lesson of Day was read by Rev or Allen and this with prayers and singing of two hymns a Jesus. Lover of my soul and a Jerusalem Golden ... simple service following which body was taken to it Auburn cemetery for burial in Hooper family lot at that place. There were no honorary pallbearers. At Church Charles in Fiske or and Henry F. Bigelow served As Ushers.
