16 Sep 1851, p2, column 6 - Departed this life, on Saturday, Sept 6th in Jacksonville, Floyd Co., Va. Mr. Nathaniel Henry, aged about seventy. The deceased was a son of the justly celebrated patriot and orator, Patrick Henry, and inherited much of the sprightliness and vivacity which distinguished his honored father. His disease was dropsy, combined with an affliction of the heart and his sufferings were lingering and at times severe, yet he bore up under them with remarkable fortitude. Although he died in the midst of strangers, far removed from his family and friends, yet he received all the respect and attention which could be paid from the citizens of Jacksonville, who honored and loved him not only for his father's sake, but also for his own. His great conversational powers and attractive manners endeared him to all around.
