    "2. Nathaniel (Hancock), s. of Nathaniel (1), was a shoemaker, and inherited the homestead. He was also one of the Town Drummers, and in 1685 recovered judgment, for £8, against the Selectmen, 'for drumming and the maintenance of drums for sundry years past.' He was admitted to the Church 31 May 1667 (at which time he was baptized), and elected Deacon 7 June 1705. … He d. 12 Ap. 1719, a. 80; his last w. survived him, …"
