BARKER, ---, ch. [torn] and Sarah, [born] May 2, 1712.
[Note: there are three Barker families having children in Andover about this time with a wife named Sarah: Richard, Samuel and John. Samuel had a daughter in 1711, and Richard had a child in 1712, so it seems most likely this was John. Otherwise, it was 2 years and some months after marriage until their first child, longer than typical. Since no name is given, is appears it died very soon.]

    Children of John Barker: Nathan, b. ---, d. 3-28-1789.
[Note: Nothing further is given. Nathan is named as a son in John's will, proving there was a son Nathan. The age at death that goes with the given death date requires that Nathan is the unnamed child born in 1712 which this source shows as a separate child.]
