BENSON, Mrs. Nannie R. Age 85, of Dayton, passed away Monday, February 2, 2009 at Good Samaritan Hospital. A native of Eminence, Kentucky and a Dayton resident the majority of her life. She was a member of Mt. Zion Church of God In Christ. Preceded in death by her husband, Calvin M. Benson, Sr.; son, Norvell Benson, Sr.; 2 brothers, 3 sisters, 1 granddaughter. Survivors include 4 sons, Stephen L., Calvin, Jr. (Rena), Brian D. & Eric C. Benson; 3 daughters, Denise N. Gibson, Deborah C. (Eddie) Bush, Kimberly R. (Tim) Twitty; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held 1 pm Thursday, February 5, 2009 at Mt. Zion Church of God In Christ, 548 Anna Street. Pastor Carl B. Norton officiating. Interment Dayton National Cemetery. Visitation 10 am Thursday at the church until the time of service. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Arrangements entrusted to the HOUSE OF WHEAT Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 North Gettysburg Avenue.
