Several trees identify her parents as Lilburn Hensley and Nancy Carter, which is possible, but I could find no documentation (online) to support this. She was likely born before Lilburn and Nancy were married (dates aren't well-supported, so could be incorrect), but it appears that both Lilburn and Nancy had children outside of wedlock. She doesn't seem to be in the 1880 census (probably born too late) and was married by 1900. Records for her children (Charles and James) confirm her maiden name as Hensley.
