    "Nancy Nash Holman wrote the Old Diary, 1840-1855, a copy of which is now in the Missouri Historical Society, Columbia, Missouri. Also at the Historical Society in Columbia, Missouri, is a diary, the earliest of Callaway County history written by Nancy Nash Holman's father, William Nash, at Old Coat Dessein and at the Holman place. It was written between 1817 and 1840, and has much important early history of Callaway."
