    Myrtle Sites

    Cerro Gordo -- Funeral services for Myrtle M. Sites, 87, of Cerro Gordo will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Brethren Church of Cerro Gordo, the Rev. Stephen S. Cole officiating.

    Burial will be in Cerro Gordo Cemetery.

    Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday at Brintlinger's Cerro Gordo Funeral Home.

    She died at 2:58 p.m. Wednesday (March 23, 1983) at Decatur Memorial Hospital.

    Mrs. Sites was born Feb. 20, 1896, at Farmer City, a daughter of Thomas W. and Rose Markland Smith.

    She married Wilbur Sites Dec. 26, 1918, at Cerro Gordo. He died in July 1963.

    Survivors include a son, Forrest "Cork" Sites of Cerro Gordo; a daughter, Mrs. David (Helen) McDonald of Cerro Gordo; a granddaughter; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Clarence Smith of Lakeland, Fla.

    She was preceded in death by a brother and four sisters.

    Mrs. Sites was a retired seamstress from the Home Manufacturing Co. in Decatur.

    She was a member of the Breathren Church of Cerro Gordo, the Cerro Gordo Rebekah Lodge No. 137, the Royal Neighbors of America Starlight Chapter No. 8877 and the Cerro Gordo senior citizens group.

    Memorials may be made to the Brethren Church of Cerro Gordo.
