Facts and Events
Among first settlers "south of the bridge" of Great Barrington. He was the first inn-keeper in that area.
One of the original settlers in Sheffield, in the 5th division of the Lower Township. Title there confirmed in 1733-34.

23 May 1751: Bond of Catharine Ingersole of Sheffield as guardian of Peter Ingersole a minor above fourteen heir of Moses Ingersole late of Sheffield deceased. Also bond as guardian of Bathsheab Ingersole a minor under 14 heir of Moses Ingersole late of Sheffield deceased.

Vol. D, p. 55 23 Feb 1718/19: Thomas Ingersole of Springfield for love & good will I have & do beare to my well beloved son Moses Ingersole of the same town convey 2 parcels, one in Westfield of 13 acres, other in Sprinfield about 20 acres undivided in partnership between grantor and John Roott of Westfield.
