[Note: the assertion of Moses's death in 1769 is supported by a footnote saying "see 'The Smallpox Incident of Groveland, Mass.'". This is found on p. 89, and describes a smallpox epidemic in 1777, and doesn't mention Moses, and doesn't seem to apply. No death record for Moses in 1769 is found. However, this assertion is refuted by birth records for children ofMoses and Miriam after this date, the death of Miriam in 1800 and the apparent remarriage of Moses later that year, followed by the death of his 2nd wife in 1812 and him in 1814. It is possible the death in 1769 was Moses the father, as his wife remarried in 1781?]
