  3. In the Woodstock Vital Records, the birth records for Moses and Rebecca are incomplete.
    *Rebecca is born "Octob'r 1 [---]" (p. 110).
    *Moses is born "Jan'r 19 [---]" (p. 106).
    Also, Moses death is recorded as "Jan'r 21'st 1757" (p. 315), and the parents marriage is 12 Dec 1754 (p. 293).

Source:Chandler, George. Chandler Family, p. 259, lists both of Moses' dates in 1756, contradicting the published record, giving an age at death of 36 hours. The basis for the age at death is unknown, but if accurate, his dates are insupportable given the death date. He lists daughter Rebecca out of order and with no birth date, which damages the credibility of his dates for Moses, since adjusting for Rebecca's birth is an important factor in arranging the births.

Source:Lyons, A. B. Lyon Memorial : Massachusetts Families, Including Descendants of the Immigrants William Lyon, of Roxbury, Peter Lyon, of Dorchester,, p. 50, gives both of Moses' dates as 1756, indicating no source, but giving Rebecca's birth as "Oct. 175(6)", despite there being no year in the published record. This appears to be based on her age at death, 78 on 13 Aug 1835, requiring a birth in the year preceding 13 Aug 1757, so 1 Oct 1756. This would rule out Moses being born in 1757.

Given the death date of Moses in 1757, and the parents marriage in late 1754, his birth could be January of 1755, 1756, or 1757. 1755 is unlikely as the mother would have been 8 months pregnant at her marriage. 1757 is impossible as it is only 4 months after Rebecca's birth on 1 Oct 1756. So his birth must be 19 Jan 1756. This is only 9 months before Rebecca's birth, perhaps possible, but may indicate Rebecca's age at death is wrong. However, that is merely speculation. (The context of records surrounding Rebecca's birth suggests her birth might be 1755, which would allow Moses to be 1757, and with the birth of the next child Frances in 1759 - again based on an sub-optimal age at death calculation - provides a fairly reasonable spacing of siblings.)
