Minot lived at 72 South Merrimack Road - perhaps he ran the grist mill there. Apparently he was a millwright and the book "Hollis Seventy Years Ago by Henry G Little published in 1890 says that "he had 7 sons. All were born after 1850." However, Federal Census Records do not support this.
