Facts and Events
Minnie Alice Johnson's origins have yet to be established. She claimed in the censuses after her marriage to have been born around 1873 at Westbourne in Sussex, on the border with Hampshire. Her first confirmed sighting is in 1894 when she married Henry John Robinson, who was 24.
Minnie and Henry had two sons together. Henry worked as a railway signalman. In 1901 they were living near Drayton Station in the parish of Oving, just east of Chichester on the London, Brighton and South Coast Railway line from Chichester to Brighton. By 1911 they had moved to 2 Railway Cottages near Arundel station, which actually fell within the parish of Lyminster. They have yet to be traced after 1911.
