Miles Staples, son of Hezekiah and Anna (Thompson) Staples, was born September 22, 1729, in Kittery, and died in Stockton, Maine, February 11, 1810. He married, June 11, 1753, Sarah Trefethern, and settled in Stockton, Maine. They had several children and many descendants. Sarah Trefethern was born in 1728, died in Stockton, 1808.
