    Miles Cary,[4] son of Colonel Miles Cary, the immigrant, was born about 1655; educated in England; clerk of the general court 1691; burgess for Warwick county in 1688, for James City 1692-1693, and for Warwick county from 1698 to 1706; register of the vice-admiralty court 1697; naval officer of York river; trustee of William and mary College, 1693, and afterwards rector; surveyor general 1692-1708. He married (first) Mary Milner, no issue. He married (second) Mary, daughter of Colonel William Wilson and left issue. He died February 27, 1709. Virginia Biography, pg 205-206.
