I note that both of you fellows have a file on WorldConnect that contains a family of Reuben Young and Mildred Carrington. As a Carrington researcher, I am interested since I believe this to be Mildred Carrington, daughter of Timothy Carrington and Mary Lane, who both died in Bath County, KY.

I also note your listing of the 1850 Census data which seems to show Mildred as age 39. The 1860 Census data also shows her as age 39 which is more in line with what we know for Mildred. The 1860 Census data finds them still in Bath County, KY, in Owensville as household 778. Here is what appears to be recorded there:

Thanks for the reply. And I appreciate Darrell Warner getting us together.

Let me answer a couple of your questions first. I don't know much about the Lane side of the family. Mildred Carrington is the daughter of Timothy Carrington and Mary Lane. From what I have learned Mary Lane was the daughter of James Hardage Lane and Susannah Strode. He would seem to be much to old for the James Lane you mention. Perhaps a nephew of Mary Lane - son of her brother? I show Mary Lane Carrington being b. 1793 in KY, d. aft 1880 in Bath County, KY.

Mildred Carrington's father, Timothy Carrington was the son of Samuel Carrington and Milly McDaniel (I think her real name was Amelia, but usually just shown as Milly). They are my direct ancestors - gggg-grandparents. Timothy Carrington was b. 13 Dec 1789 in Charles County, MD, d. 1 Dec 1856 in Bath County, KY. Would like to find burial information for both Timothy and Mary (Lane) Carrington.

The dates you have for Mildred Carrington Young are in line with what we had from census data and old family histories. We knew of her marriage to a Reuben Young, thus our search in census records and finally the file of Darrell. Where is Mildred buried?

We would love to know more of her family and what became of them. Can you shed further light on this area? Did they remain in KY or move further west?
