MICHAEL ELROD was born in 1786 in North Carolina.

Michael married ELIZABETH DAVIS, the daughter of JOHN DAVIS, on June 20, 1807 in Wayne County, Kentucky. Elizabeth's father signed for the marriage of his daughter and Michael Elrod. John Davis may have been from Pulaski County, Tennessee though Michael and Elizabeth married in Wayne County, Kentucky.

The 1810 census shows Michael living with his family in Wayne County, Kentucky.

Michael is listed in the Pulaski County, Kentucky Tax List for 1818, 1819, 1820, 1821, 1822, 1824, and 1829.
