    MICIJAH MAYFIELD,was a son of James Mayfield.He was born in Virginia in 1748 He was in his 80th year when he applied for his Revolutionary War Pension

    Barry Dunagan's Genealogy and Military History Of Gibson County, Tennessee
    Served in the American Revolution and received a pension in the latter years of his life from the US Government. He lived in Sullivan County, Indiana for about 8 years before moving to Kentucky. He served as a Private in Captian Jesse Evans Company in Col. John Montgomery's Virginia Regiment under George Jesse Evans Company in Under George Roger Clark in Illinois and then in Illinois he served two enlistments (one year each) then lived in Davidison Co. for a while then moved to Jefferson County, Kentucky

    He died in 1838. He was buried in Pleasantville, Methodist Cem., Sullivan, Indiana.
