The Gettysburg Times - Gettysburg, PA 1934-11-12 pg 01 has a long article about the accident that caused Bessie Marie's death. While inspecting damage to her car when it was sideswiped by a truck, she was crushed against her car by another car. Janet was in the car at the time. "Mrs Carbaugh was a daughter of the late Amos and Henrietta Chronister, and was born in Cumberland county... She was a life-long member of the Reformed church. Surviving are her husband, one daughter, Marion Janet, at home, and the following brothers and sisters: Mervin Chronister, Harrisburg; Mrs Elaine Green and Mrs. Sylvan Bushey, both of York; Charles Chronister, Marietta; Mrs. L E Cromer, Lewisburg, and Mrs. Stanley Welder, of Hagerstown."
