↑Source:Davis, Sumner Augustus. Barnabas Davis (1599-1685) and His Descendants, p. 10, show Mehitable m. Jonathan Whitney with no further information. No such record is found, plus the deed cited on various sibling pages suggests Mehitable had died before 1731 (probably died young, in fact, based on the birth of sister Sarah just over one year after Mehitable's birth), so this appears to be confusion with a marriage record for Jonathan Whitney and Mehitable Davis found in Harvard, MA, in 1817, followed by births of their children in Gardner (i.e., one hundred years too late)!
