- ↑ Hugh Grossman Carnahan was remarried on 2 Nov 1911 to a Ruth M Emerson. Either May Pearl and Hugh divorced between 4 Mar 1911 and 2 Nov 1911 or May Pearl died. A Standard History of Kansas and Kansans lists "May Pearl" (no spousal name) as a living child in 1918, which would lean toward a divorce. Unfortunately, other information given in that source concerning the children of William B. Clark is erroneous, so this is not definitive. See her father for an entire transcription of the biography in that source.
