LIBERTY - Final rites for Mrs Mattie Jane Coble Euliss, 82, of Rt 3, Liberty, were held at 4:30 o'clock this afternoon at Mt Pleasant United Methodist Church at Kimesville.

Mrs Euliss died Saturday morning following one year of declining health and one week of critical illness.

She was the mother of Boaz H Euliss of Burlington.

A native of Guilford County, she was the daughter of James Monroe Coble and Julian Ann Coble. She was the wife of the late William Alford Euliss and was a member of Mt Pleasant United Methodist Church at Kimesville.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs Albert Johnson, Mrs Mary Rierson, with whom Mrs Euliss made her home, and Mrs Lucy Clapp, all of Rt 3, Liberty; three other sons, J Glenn Euliss, W Coble Euliss and Dovoe C Euliss, all of Rt 3, Liberty; 19 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

The service was conducted by the Rev Clyde Faulkner, pastor, assisted by the Rev Jamie Fonville, assistant pastor. Burial was in the church cemetery.

    She was shown as being born October 1888 in the 1900 census with her family. She was age 32 in the 1920 census with husband William A Euliss. I question the other date of brith of 1877.
