Interment for Mattys De Blonk was held here in the Valley View Cemetery Thursday afternoon following funeral services at the Presbyterian church at Brookings, S. Dak. March 31.

Matthys De Blonk was born April 2, 1881 at the Hague, the Netherlands and came to Rock Valley on Feb 12, 1908 and moved from here to South Dakota in 1917.

He passed away at a Brookings hospital on March 28, 1960 after a short illness.

Burial was here beside his wife.

He is survived by two sons, Gerard and Matt, Jr. of Brookings, and two daughters, Mrs. Clifford Tester (Gertrude) of Volga, S. Dak. and Mrs. W. A. Schmidt (Antonia) of Minneapolis, Mum.

He was preceded in death by his wife and son William.
