Matthew Hall, who, tradition states, came from Birmingham, England, or its vicinity, and settled in Bucks county, Pennsylvania, where he married, about 1731, Sarah, widow of George Haworth, of Buckingham township. Their son Mahlon, settled in Blockley, probably on land which had been devised to him by his father, who had purchased if from Veronica Warner.
