First settled in Shrewsbury, but on December 9, 1766, deeded his land to Jacob Stein and moved to Manchester.

Anna Catharina dau. of the late Hans Martin Matz former citiizen at Lamersotch Germany at Preuschdorf,, Germany on Jan 6, 1722/23 Anna Catharina was b. in Lampertscotch on Oct. 20,, 1701 and d. before June 1767. His will was written in Manchester township on June 30 1767 and probated on Seppt 24, 17767. He recieved a warrant for 50 acres in Sprinngfield twp.. on March 18, 1746 and that was surveyed as 173.80 acres on Jan. 22, 1754. He recieved a warrant for 50 acres on Dec. 3, 1764.
