"This note to the many true friends of
Maryland Sue Hall
Sue would have been so very pleased and maybe a little shocked
at the memorial for her at the Abbey, Saturday, February 27.
It looked to me as tho every S-O-R-T members past and present
was there, as well as many, many D.O.C. friends plus friends from
the outside of corrections.
Very few things made her happier than working at the S-O-R-T
training sessions even tho she would some times come home bruised
head to foot.
I have never seen the true support, closeness, and love that exists
within the S-O-R-T team any where else in my 69 years. S-O-R-T
is a major credit to the Coforado Correction System.
I personally don’t know how I could have handled the loss of Sue
without the great help and strength from all her S-O-R-T boys,
nurse team members, and her friends at D.O.C.
Friends from all over the state have come to Penrose and offered
help, condolences, and their love. I can never thank them enough.
Sue's wishes after death was to be donated to a cancer research
hospitaf but her cancer had spread to the kidney and they wouldn’t
take her.
Sue ’s second choice was to be cremated, put in the motor home
and we woufd go to all the pfaces we planned for several years.
This will be done exactiy as Sue wished.
S-O-R-T, D.O.C., Sue s friends, my friends I will never forget all
you have done for Sue and me. My memories will last the rest of
my life.
