- ↑ The estimated birth date about 1642 comes from the cited AFN which has the wrong birthplace and no parents. But given a marriage in 1663 it is not unreasonable. According to Source:Waters, Thomas Franklin. Ipswich in the Massachusetts Bay Colony, p. 494, John Woodam's name first appears on the Ipswich town records in 1647. He is often confused with John Wotton of Portsmouth, NH, and John Woodin of Hampton, NH and Haverhill, Mass., so it is difficult to pin down where he was when his only daughter was born.
