MRS MARY W. DENCE, 61, OF THIS CITY, EXPIRES
Mrs. Mary. W. Dence, 61, of 12 Flower street, died about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the House of the Good Samaritan, where she had been a patient for a week.
Mrs. Dence underwent an operation for internal goiter Monday. She was born in Manchester, England, March 10, 1872, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harrison Walton.
She came to this country about 30 years ago locating with her parents at Adams Center. Shortly after her arrival she married William Corbett. The couple came to this city to make their home in 1911, and in 1918 Mr. Corbett died.
Mrs. Corbett married Edward W Dence in 1925 and had since made her home here. Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, George and William Corbett. William at present, is in Idaho with the C.C C army; one sister, Mrs. Anna Lyons, this city.
Funeral services will be held from the home, 12 Flower street, Friday at 3 p.m. with Rev. Richard H Bowen, pastor of the Emmanuel Congregational church, officiating. Burial in Hillside cemetery, Lowville.
