    In Westerly, July 17th, 1870, Miss Mary Vars, aged 89 years. She became a Christian in early life, and was for nearly sixty-five years a beloved member of the 1st Seventh-day Baptist Church of Hopkinton. The Christian hope which rendered her life beautiful, afforded holy consolidation in the painful illness which closed her earthly pilgrimage.
