Polly and Larkin Tuggle were born out of wedlock and were the children of Thomas McDaniel and Celia/Ceela/Seela Tuggle. In April 1793 Thomas was charged 10$ for fathering the two children of Celia 'a single woman.' [Henry County Court Records] In May 1793 Thomas and Celia were married in Patrick County, Va.
