    "Daniel Grandin, grandfather of Sarah (Grandin) Wurts, was a French Protestant, born 1694, who emigrated from the Isle of Jersey, and settled at Colt's Neck in Monmouth Co, NJ. His wife, Mary Throckmorton Grandin, born 1695, was a daughter of Job Throckmorton, and his wife, Sarah Leonard, daughter of Henry Leonard, an iron merchant of Pntypool, Wales, who came to Lynn, MA, in 1626, and later removed to NJ, where he was associated with Louis Morris in building, near Freehold, in 1675, the first iron works in the Middle States."

    31 MARY THROCKMORTON, daughter of Job Throckmorton, 5, married Daniel Grandin, who came from France to Monmouth County, N.J. He was born 1694.

    1733. Daniel Granding, attorney at law, mortgaged land in Upper Freehold, to the Land Commissioners.

    1755. Mary Throckmorton, wife of Daniel Grandin, was deceased prior to this date, as she is so alluded to in her sister, Sarah Nichol's, will.

    1782. Daniel Grandin, was a Loyalist Associator, at New York, and was to settle at Shelburne, Nova Scotia, the following year, with his family of three persons.
