1847 - Mary Ann's birth date seems to have been recorded in the family bible as 24 October 1847. However, her birth certificate records 5 October 1847. (Had her birthday been the former, her husband, John SAYER, would have died on her forty-eighth birthday.)

1851 - with her parents, aged 3, in Little London, Northwold, Norfolk.

1861 - With parents, living in "Little Lunnum", Northwold. Scholar, aged 13.

1869 - At the time of her marriage to John REAY, Mary Ann was from Parish of St John, Newcastle-upon-Tyne.

1871 - Living at the Coachman House, Condercum (House), Benwell (St James), Northumberland, with husband (John REAY) and infant son.

1881- Mary Ann has married John SAYER by this time. They are living at Laws Farm, Horsey. Three children from John's first marriage live with them but none from Mary Ann's first marriage. Sabina, from this marriage, aged 1 (recorded as Salina on the census index) was also living there. Aged 33, born at Northwold, Norfolk.

1891 - Living with John and 5 girls from this marriage, but no children from either previous marriage.

1901 - Widowed and living with her widowed mother, and one daughter (Maggie) in a four-roomed home in Little London, Northwold. Employed as a cook (not domestic).

Early 1900s - The family moved to Audley House, Northwold, which was owned by the people who lived next door.

1927/8 - Mary Ann went to live with her daughter, Pop (Bertha GRAVER), during the winter.

1928 - Died at Pop's home, North Street, Sheringham.
