"Mary Daughter of David Thomas (Dolvor)"

  5.   Mary, the daughter of David Thomas, is tentatively put as Mary the wife of James Powell based on two pieces of evidence.

    (1) Mary Thomas was said in Montgomeryshire Collections Vol. 35 to have been of Cefncaled, Kerry. The daughter of David Thomas is the only Mary Thomas baptized in Kerry of an appropriate age (although David is said to reside in Dolvor township, and Cefn Caled was in another township.)

    (2) Ambrose Thomas was the nephew of Mary, daughter of David Thomas, and also a witness at the wedding of Elizabeth, the daughter of Mary Thomas, the wife of James Powell.
