At the advanced age of 96 years of age Mrs John Kennelly, an old resident of the Ottawa Valley, passed away last night at the home of her son R J Kennelly 33 Cambridge St. Her Maiden name was Mary Ann Sullivan. No Funeral arrangements have been made yet.

The funeral of the late Mrs. Mary Ann Kennelly was held from the residence of her son, 33 Cambridge street, on Monday morning to St. Patrick's church, where requiem high mass was chanted by Rev. Canon Fitzgerald. Interment was made in Notre Dame cemetery.
The late Mrs. Kennell ywas born in Ireland in 1831, and came to Canada when she was four years old. She lived at Mt. St. Patrick, Renfrew County, for the greater part of her life, but during late years she resided with he family in Ottawa.
The many floral and spiritual offerings received testified to the high esteem in which the deceased was held.
She leaves to mourn her loss three daughters, Mrs. W. Stevens, Mrs. F. King, and Mrs. D. Scharfe, all of Ottawas, and four sons, John and Patrick of Ottawa, Con. and Maurice, of Cobalt.

This suggests that gravemarker was erected many years after her death. Spelling of her maiden name "O'Sullivan" is probably incorrect on gravemarker also. She gave her name as "Sullivan" at her own wedding and marriages of her children.
