Three separate ceremonies, one by Mr. Hackley, as American Consul [clearly not long after a letter dated 5 Mar 1808], another ceremony by a Catholic priest, and a third with a Protestant clergyman. "Three wedding-rings attested to the triple marriage."
    [p. 307] Obituary published in a Salem paper: "Died in Haverhill, on Sunday, last, Mary Pepperrell Jarvis, wife of William Jarvis, Esq., late Consul at Lisbon. Aged 30 years." [In 1811, Sunday was 24 March or 31 March.]
    [p. 309] Mr. Sparhawk m. Elizabeth Bartlett, who d. 1782 leaving an only daughter Mary Pepperrell Sparhawk, who resided with her Grandmother Bartlett.
