... About 1732 he [Charles Neale] married Mary Smith, daughter of Major Walter Smith, but then the young widow of Clement Brooke, Jr., mariner.
Clement Brooke upon a voyage to England with his wife, Mary, and daughter, Rachel, dated his will August 31, 1731. He devised his wife and daughter his entire estate, but in the event that his wife, Mary, should die before her return to Maryland, the entire estate was to revert to his daughter. The will was proved in Charles County on November 28, 1732. ...
