↑ Mary's alleged age at death (about 50 resulting in a calculated birth year of 1642) seems too high by at least a decade. Savage gives the years of births of three, probably older, siblings as 1646, 1649 and 1651; and her youngest known child was born in 1691. Based on these factors, and the order of children listed in John Riley's will, 1654 seems to be a reasonable estimate for the year of her birth.
