[edit] ObituaryMary E. Haver, 93, died at 11:10 p.m. Sept. 2, 2010 at Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton. She was born July 11, 1917 in Spencerville to Joseph and Anna Thiesing Rigdon, who preceded her in death. She was married on Nov. 18, 1936 to George Stanley Haver, who preceded her in death on Dec. 20, 1980. Mrs. Haver was a Christian homemaker. She was a lifelong member of the First Church of God, where she sang in the choir, taught Sunday School, and participated in countless programs. She was a 25-year volunteer for the Johnny Appleseed Metropolitan Park District. Survivors include: one son...; one daughter...; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sons, Michael, Joe and Steven Haver; a daughter, Janet Haver; and nine brothers and sisters. Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Chiles-Laman Funeral Home, Shawnee Chapel. Pastor Randy Bargerstock will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima. References
