Book of the Lockes, p. 317, and repeated in NEHGR, vol. 32, p. 56, and other sources, because the age at death of Thomas Pierce's wife suggests a birth in 1642. He cites the argument by William B. Trask in NEHGR, Vol. 39, p. 230.
