FAY, Mary, w. Thaddeus, [died] Sept. 19, 1807, a. 73. [Birth about 1734.]
Mary Prescott has not been identified here beyond her death record and the marriage record calling her of Acton. One would suspect that a woman marrying at age 71 or so would be a widow, but the intentions actually call her "Miss Mary Prescott", so perhaps not? A Benjamin Prescott died in Acton in 1801, but he was about 17 years younger than Mary, so they were not likely to have been married. Otherwise, there is no birth, marriage, or death record that seems to offer any clues. Based on her estimated birth date, Source:Prescott, William. Prescott Memorial, or, A Genealogical Memoir of the Prescott Families in America, p. 63, lists Mary Prescott, d/o Amos and Ruth of Concord, b. 9 Sep 1734, but has no further information about her.
