    Mary Louise McGowan, 54, a member of a fifth-generation Monterey County family, died Wednesday at Community Hospital after a period of failing health.
    Born April 13,1925, in Butte City, she was a 1942 graduate of Monterey High School. She has resided in the Prune-dale area for the past five years.
    She was a member of Grace Commu¬nity Church in Prunedale.
    Survivors include her husband, Willard; daughter, Margy McGowan of Prunedale; sons. Dale of Modesto, Glen of Oroville and Bruce of Salinas; sister, Elinor Olsen of San Rafael; mother, Mrs. Delia Picknell of Carmel and two grandchildren.
    Graveside funeral services will be held Friday at 3 p.m. at El Carmelo Cemetery, Pacific Grove, with Pastor Craig MacDonald of Grace Community Church officiating. Paul Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
