Facts and Events
NOTE : In 1855 Buffalo, Erie Co,, NY , 1st Ward census ( Page 19, Visitation # 171 ) , there is an ANN NASH listed as a 5 years old child , b. in NY , with little brother , John , 3 years old .Parents : Richard ( sailor ) & Ann Nash. Found her again listed in Holy Cross Cemetary records as buried in Lot# 15 , Section J. Age 5 , listed as MARY NASH . NOTE : Another Holy Cross record gives the death date of 18 Nov 1855 under Mary Nash . Need to keep searching in death records at St. Pat's or St . Brigid's , maybe an obituary. DISCEPANCY : My problem with accepting this 1855 Richard Nash family in the census is that Richard & Hannah were married in 1852 so " Mary Ann Nash " could not have been born sooner than that date . Ann is a name frequently given to girls named Hannah so that is not an issue . There was a brother named John who was born in May 1855 . Will look at census again.
